What tires you running?
Im in the market...for some reason I cant get any traction up here...not sure if my suspension is off or my tires just dont stick to these roads.
Im talking lighting the tires up in 4th gear from a roll at like 5k rpms

Wad????????? Thats crazy. Well your lucky since you got 16s you have a bunch of options. I know the high HP 350Z guys are running the Toyo R888s. They love them. Very grippy and they last awhile. Thats what Ima run once these fuzions are done.

Since the banana isn't a daily driver you could try Yokohama Parada Spec 2's. I'm running them and my grips like its on rails but I get hella road noise. Just a suggestion in case you are still undecided.

I'm running yokohoma s-drives on my car...not too experienced with tires and which are the best but I like these so far!
